Hi, I am trying to make a scribble bot and have ordered these motors after attending a course and being informed these are the ones they had used. I ordered your battery holders and fitted 2 x aa duracell batteries in, but when i attach the wires the motor wont work. Can you tell me why?

Hi Natasha, These motors can run on a voltage between 1.5-4.5V’s so should work fine on 2XAA batteries as this provides 3V’s. The typical current draw is 350mA, 1 AA battery has around 1100mA so again the current shouldn’t be an issue. Things to check would be, are the batteries full inserted, does the battery box have a switch, are the wires properly connected to the motor (crocodile clips would be a good way to test), try the motor just with the battery cage and nothing on the end of the motor. If it spins then the weight on the item on the motor is too heavy. If you are still having issues email email@example.com with some photos.
