Further Information

Q:
Is this the appropriate charger to go with this now? https://www.kitronik.co.uk/46135-lipo-chargerbooster-5v1a
What cables are needed to charge the battery using the charger/booster?
Asked by: James
A:
Hi James,

Thank you for your email, that charger should work as should the one on the link below.

https://www.kitronik.co.uk/2218-basic-lipo-micro-usb-charger

You could simple use a micro USB cable such as is used to charge a mobile phone and plug that into the silver micro USB port. The Lipo would plug into the cream coloured JST port and that should be all you need.

Best Regards

We don’t sell any cases for the battery. We do however sell two different charges that are compactable with the lithium Ion batteries we stock. 2215-power-cell-lipo-chargerbooster

Q:
Hi, i was wondering how long does it last in the bluetooth speaker kit when fully charged?
Asked by: Finlay Chew
A:
Hi Finlay,

Thank you for your question, the Blue Tooth Amp draws between 35mA and 120mA of power depending on volume and usage.

This battery can hold upto 1000mA of power so 29 hours to 8 hours depending on current draw.

best Regards

Hi Per,

We are currently expecting them to be back in stock in the next week or so. Those are the only batteries we currently sell.

Q:
I use these batteries in your Bluetooth amp with 6th form students. How do you know when the battery has been charged fully?
Many thanks.
Asked by: Steve Allgood
A:
Hi Steve, The charger is integrated within the Bluetooth chip itself. As such the bluetooth chip LiPo charger can provide up to 350mA (as long as you're supply at least that amount to the board in the first place).
For a 1000mAH LiPo, this means it should be fully charged from flat in approximately 2 hrs 50 mins.
This is the minimum time, at lower charging currents it will be longer.

Q:
Is it possible to charge the lipo batteries with an apple usb phone plug?
Asked by: Fraser
A:
Hi Fraser, The batteries should only be charged using a specify LiPo charging circuit, such as https://www.kitronik.co.uk/2215-power-cell-lipo-chargerbooster

Q:
Does this battery replace Kobo 1/ICP4/43/55, which is bigger? Is the terminal the same as the Kobo battery? Thanks
Asked by: Malcolm Taylor
A:
Hello Malcolm, We are not aware that this battery has replaced the one you mentioned. We have stocked this battery for a number of years and this hasn't altered. The battery is supplied with a standard 2 pin JST connector. I am unsure of the connector used on the battery you have mentioned however it appears to be a smaller version of JST.

Q:
Do you guys stock or can you confirm which JST PCB header would fit the connector please? Considering using them to power some small LED circuits for a tabletop wargaming project as they're smaller than having to use 3xAAs. I'm assuming it's this one: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/pcb-headers/8201422/ but need to be sure.
Thank you!
Asked by: Gareth
A:
Hi Gareth, I have checked if this would be suitable and can confirm this would be suitable to use with the JST on the battery.
