E-Textiles & Conductive thread
Electro-Fashion is Kitronik's own range of e-textiles parts. They provide people with a simple way to add some LEDs to their textiles project. The system works using conductive thread which sews like normal thread, but conducts electricity like wire.
To get an LED to light the thread is sewn into fabric to make a connection from a battery to the LED or LEDs. Switches can even be added so that the LEDs are on when a button is pressed or an item is tilted. The best way for people to get started using Electro-Fashion is to use the sewable LED kits. For more advanced users all the parts in the kit as well as other items are available separately.
