PICAXE Download cables
The PICAXE software downloads programs into the PICAXE chip via a very low cost serial or USB download cable. You simply place the matching ‘stereo’ socket on the project board and then download the program directly into the PICAXE chip. Original cables available in serial or USB format (top image).
*NEW* EasyUSB Download cable is now available (bottom image):
The EasyUSB download cable is a unique ‘driverless’ plug’n’play cable. The cable works instantly on any USB port computer without any IT support and works with all software titles (latest versions may be required) that support PICAXE chip programming.

|
|
Features:
- No virtual COM port to select.
- Four diagnostic LEDs to show: correctly connected and operating, computer software is transmitting, PICAXE chip is correctly connected and transmitting.
- Powered by the USB port (5V supply breakout also available).
The EasyUSB also features a unique remote ‘class set program’ function – download a PICAXE program into the EasyUSB’s memory and then you can program any number of student boards away from the computer. Simply connect to the student’s board, press the ‘program’ button and then watch the LEDs for a pass/ fail indication.
