Kitronik May Newsletter and Product Update

Hello and welcome to our May newsletter. We thought a good way to start things off would be by highlighting some fantastic projects created by students at Babington Community Technology College. The designs are based around our USB lamp kit and we think they look fantastic.

In this edition we will be covering some of our new products. These include details of our extended LED range, new tools, new power supplies and clocks. We also have information on training courses that are being run by Nottingham Trent University.

Stock clearance

We have a number of products that we have reduced in price and added to our clearance section. Products include Genie kits, Titan Tanks, Fabric Masters (old style) and PICAXE Alarm kits (old -08 chips). Stock of these items is limited, but there are some bargains if you are quick!

LEDs

Over the past few weeks we've been busy making a number of changes to our LED section. We now have a much bigger range of LEDs which are also available in wider choice of pack sizes.

We have added a great range of mega bright coloured LEDs. These are available in red, blue, yellow and green, in a choice of either 15deg or 30deg viewing angles. These are sure to make your products stand out.

As people have often asked about ordering just one or two LEDs (rather than our standard LED pack sizes) we have now introduced packs of single LEDs. In addition to this we have also introduced 'bulk' value packs of our LEDs. For example you can now buy a bag of 1000 5mm red LEDs for just £32.00.

Clock movements

We've been selling clock movements for a long time. Back in September we starting selling clock movements in trays of 100. If you are looking to order clock movements in volume then these offer great value as it equates to only £0.75 per movement.

Tools

We've added a few new products to our tool range over the last month. We've added a range of six new pliers/cutters to our hand tool range. These are well made and have comfortable soft grip handles.

We've also added a new temperature controlled solder station. This is perfect if you are looking for a soldering iron that lets you adjust the temperature of the soldering iron tip.

12V 2Amp power supply

A number of people have asked us for a power supply that can be used to power a full 5m reel of flexible LED strips, so we thought we better add one! We now stock a 12V 2A power supply which is perfect for using with these products.

CPD at Nottingham Trent University
