PVC flexible sheet - pack 10 sheets

This PVC sheet is ¼mm thick and 200 x 200mm in size and is supplied with a strip of 3M adhesive that allows it to be made in to the cylinder shape.

The frosted finish on the plastic makes a good diffuser for lighting projects. The material can be easily cut with a knife to add features to the design.

Hi, I wanted to know what colours are available in this 10 pack. If they arent coloured, how do you make it pink (like in the display pic)?
Response by geoffhampson on
The sheet is a clear plastic sheet with a frosted finish (left image). Placing a colour changing LED in the base of the sheet give the effect that you with the pink (right image)

Hi there...in your booklet it shows a black rim around the top and base of the projects, are these items for sale via your as well?

Steve
Response by geoffhampson on
The black plastic rims shown in the June update are not currently available. However we are looking to get these in and supply them with a sheet of frosted PVC in a size suitable for use with the ends. We are currently talking to the manufacturer about supplying these and we will hopefully soon be adding them to the website.

Can this be used flat and cut to a smaller size? Can the LEDs be attached to the edge so that the light travels up the sheet?
Response by geoffhampson on
It could be used flat and is easy to cut to size with scissors or a knife. Whilst you might be able to get the light to work on the edge I think you will have better results with the light shining on to the material. I’d give it a try and see what gives you the best results.

Is it soft/flexible enough to stitch - wondered about attatching conductive thread
Response by geoffhampson on
It is flexible enough to bend in to a cylinder, but would be far too tough to easily get a needle through.

but I f i were to make holes with a hot tip I could then hand stitch the conductive thread?
Response by geoffhampson on
Yes if you were to pre-drill, laser cut or melt holes in the material then yes it would be possible to stich in the conductive thread.

Response by geoffhampson on
We only do the one size 200 x 200 mm.
