Elephant and Castle Mini Maker Faire 2013
The dust has finally settled (and I've finally cooled down) from mine and London's first ever Maker Faire on Saturday 6th July at the London College of Communication, Elephant and Castle. We had timed the launch of our kickstarter for Project Laika to coincide with the event, and were looking forward to meeting loads of the great people we talk to on Twitter, and Makers of all ages. Andy and Kevin were down early to set up, see them below looking all prepared for the day, whilst Aaron and I took a later train down to London. makerfaire_01 It was great to see so many new faces as well as ones we've known for a while, like the Bare Conductive team. makerfaire_02 I was really impressed with the amount of soft circuit displays going on, the team at codasign, @rainycat and the team at Mz Tek (and many more, far too many to mention). makerfaire_03 My personal favourite from the entire show (ask me again tomorrow, I might change my mind there were so many awesome things to see and do) was this young guy who looked like he was controlling some advanced indoor kite or something. To find out what he was actually doing have a look at the full set of photos on our Flickr stream. makerfaire_04
