MP3 amplifier project kit

This amplifier kit can be used with any personal stereo equipment, including MP3 players. It uses a TBA820M IC which can output 1.6W of power. The kit is supplied with a PP3 battery clip and can run off any voltage from 3 to 16 volts. It works nicely off a 9V battery (not supplied). Now supplied with pre-built jack cable.

Boom box

This is a fantastic quick box for housing your amplifier kit. Perfect for those times when you want to do an electronics focused practical task without spending weeks on the enclosure. The box is supplied flat and folds up easily. It has separate compartments for the battery, PCB and speaker. Constructed in heavy grade corrugated cardboard that can be painted, varnished, drawn on or covered with fabric creating a high quality sturdy enclosure quickly and effectively.

There are worksheets (3.2Mb) on assembling and using the BoomBox, two presentations (7.3Mb) one on using the BoomBox plus one on how it was developed. Sketchup models of the built unit and it as a flat unit

The case will take a PP3 9V battery or a 3xAA battery cage, amplifier kit not included.
